My name is Olivia Hoelting, and I am a freshman science and agricultural journalism major. My hometown is Moscow Mills, Missouri, where I was raised on a sixth-generation family farm. My family’s farm mostly focuses on crop and swine production.
From a young age I can remember sitting with my father at the kitchen table looking over different agriculture magazines and newspapers. Little did I know that memory was the first glance into the dream job that I am now working towards.
My ideal future job would be to report for a major agriculture magazine, while getting to interview others and be out in the field.
When I’m not working on stories for Corner Post, I enjoy spending time with friends around campus, playing tennis, and watching old movies.
