I’m a small town farm girl from northwest Missouri who is passionate about God, singing, writing, chocolate and Mizzou football! I am the youngest of six kids and the last to attend the University of Missouri — and definitely the most passionate about being a tiger! I enjoy leading worship, camping, spending time with my friends and family, and reading. I’ve never traveled outside of the country, but I would love to travel all over the world someday. Although I grew up on a black Angus beef cattle farm, I’ve always preferred eating a hot dog to a hamburger!
Before becoming a tiger, I attended a school with approximately 140 students, K-12, and had a graduating class of twelve. Throughout my high school education, I was a member and officer in just about every extracurricular activity that my high school, Union Star R-2, offered. I was on the newspaper staff for two years and served as the editor my senior year. It was during those two years that I found my passion for telling stories through writing. Coming to Mizzou with a farm background, I decided to pursue a major in science and agricultural journalism.
I’m very excited to finally be a student at the university as I have been anticipating this moment for quite some time, about 11 years to be exact! Now that I’m here, I’ve had the opportunity to join a campus ministry and make some really great friends, and I look forward to attending every home Mizzou football game! I’m very happy to be a part of CAFNR and look forward to getting more involved in clubs and organizations. I can’t wait for all the amazing experiences that I’m going to have and memories that I’ll make throughout my next four years here at Mizzou!
