My name is Katherine Hambrick, and I am a last semester senior in Science and Agricultural Convergence- Journalism at the University of Missouri. I like to focus on environmental science and climate issue stories, though I enjoy all science and agricultural topics. I also love using emerging technologies to tell scientific stories, and I think these new media are the future of science journalism.
I grew up in the small town of Woodland Park, Colorado (and talk about it way too much.) My outdoorsy, active lifestyle fueled my interest in science and my desire to report on scientific or environmental stories.
In an ideal world, after college I would be reporting for a science desk at NPR, ClimateWire, High Country News, or any number of publications – preferably spending most of my time in or around any mountain range in North America.
