I believe in the future of agriculture. Those words may have left my mouth a few million times before, but they have never meant more to me than they do now. I spent the last four years of my life dedicated to agriculture. I don’t know who I would be without the virtues that agriculture has brought to my life. I want to express my passion an impactful way. My decision to pursue a career in agricultural education has been the best that I have ever made. When I joined FFA my freshman year of high school, I never would have imagined its impact. I look back at the last four years of my life and am overwhelmed by the experiences that the FFA has given me.
Without the push from my advisers and the influence of the FFA, I would not have made my way to Mizzou. It seemed like a far-fetched dream that could not be a reality. Now, I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else. I am following my passion and drive to make a difference in students’ lives by becoming an agricultural educator.
