My name is Jacqueline Janorschke. I hail from a small town in rural northwest Missouri called DeKalb. Although I didn’t grow up on a farm, becoming involved in FFA led to my passion for advocating for agriculture, specifically for pollinators and beekeeping. I’ve learned a lot about beekeeping through hands-on experience with my 17 hives.
I enjoy shedding light on the decline of honeybee populations and sharing how anyone and everyone can help the world become more bee friendly. These interests brought me to MU to major in biochemistry while also studying science and agricultural journalism. This year I am currently serving as the Missouri FFA Association State Secretary. Writing for Corner Post will give me an outlet to communicate with a broad audience about agriculture.
