Cassie Lenzenhuber is a freshman from small town Warrenton, Mo., majoring in science and agriculture journalism. She is not only interested in agriculture but also very interested about plant sciences. She plans on focusing on plant sciences as well as other major agricultural issues.
“I Chose Mizzou Because it had a phenomenal agriculture school,” she said.
Lenzenhuber was born and raised on a farm. This background is what has made her so passionate about agriculture; she has seen the struggles of farming and the changes in technology that increases the production of crops. She also loved writing agriculture speeches throughout high school.
“I am so excited to write about the new and upcoming technologies that help out the agriculture,” Lenzenhuber said.
Throughout high school Lenzenhuber was very involved on her high schools volleyball team and Deca, a club that focused on business practices. In addition to volleyball and Deca, she was also involved with the national Future Farmers of America organization.
Lezenhuber has never had journalism experience like Corner Post, but she is very excited about the challenge.
