Growing up in an urban setting led me to an extremely diverse FFA chapter. Through my four years in the organization, I learned so much about myself and the others around me. I found confidence in my nontraditional foundations within the program. I assumed the roles of chapter president and area VI historian during my junior and senior years. My heart is drawn to the balance between feeding the world and understanding the world that we are feeding. The idea that every living and thinking creature on the planet is connected to one another by their requirement for nutrition fascinates me and inspires me to make a name for myself in agriculture.
