Author: Sydney Baxter

My name is Sydney Baxter, and I am a freshman at the University of Missouri studying Agricultural Education, Communications, and Leadership. My “dream job” would be to train agriculture-based employees/employers about marketing and sales strategies to make their company more profitable. I grew up on a 400-acre farm east of Chillicothe, Missouri, where my family and I cared for a 30-head sheep operation and a 12-head cattle operation. Throughout my life, I was constantly busy with farm chores or helping my mom care for our orchard and garden. I was highly involved in FFA during my high school career. My passion for our farm and involvement in FFA inspired my major. I am excited to attend Mizzou and take courses to gain more knowledge about the industry and learn to be successful in my field of work. I am blessed with the opportunity to write for the Corner Post and excited for the opportunities it will bring!
