Miles and miles of corn and soybean fields, some of the best soil in the country and the home of Jim the Wonder Dog are all staples of the place that I call home, Marshall, Missouri. I have been a resident of rural Marshall my entire life, which has provided me the opportunity to immerse myself in various aspects of the agriculture industry. I am a freshman studying agriculture education at the University of Missouri. After the conclusion of my undergraduate degree I plan to pursue a master’s degree in international agriculture while I teach high school agriculture classes. I am ecstatic to be writing for the CAFNR Corner Post, as well as delving into the rich history of the University and the College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources.
