Author: Levi Gilman

My name is Levi Gilman, and I am a junior studying agricultural education and leadership with a minor in plant science. I come from the small town of Auxvasse, Missouri, just 30 minutes east of Columbia. I live in the country with some acreage, but my family does not own a farm. I am still very familiar with farming as some of my family and most of my neighbors are farmers. In my free time I like to hang out with friends and family, travel, hike, hunt, fish, and build things, such as furniture. In high school, I joined FFA and this sparked my passion for agriculture. I had always had an interest in farming growing up and I would drive a tractor any chance I could get. FFA grew this interest into a passion. I am excited to be part of CAFNR Corner Post this semester, and I look forward to pushing myself to find new and exciting stories, while also enhancing my writing skills and still being an advocate for agriculture.
