Swing into spring at the SPRTA Whiffle Ball Tournament April 25

The MU Sports, Parks, Recreation and Tourism Association will host a Whiffle Ball Tournament on Saturday, April 25. All earnings from the tournament will go toward activities that SPRTA has planned for the coming year.

The club hopes to raise enough money to fund travel to help members make connections in the sports, park, recreation and tourism industry.

The double-elimination style tournament will be held at Hinkson Outdoor Complex, located southwest of Mizzou Arena. The event begins at noon and wraps up that evening around 6.

A $100 first-place prize and a second-place gift card will be awarded at the end of the tournament.

SPRTA is looking forward to 20 or more teams participating. The deadline for a team of three to five players to register is Wednesday, April 15. Cost per team is $20, and teams can register in the Parks, Recreation and Tourism office, 105 Anheuser-Busch Natural Resources Building.

β€œIt (the tournament) is a fun way for students within CAFNR to support fellow organizations in our college!” according to Kayla Barker, SPRTA Communications Committee member.
