Tickets are on sale for upcoming Jason Aldean concert

Country music lovers of Columbia have an event to look forward to this spring. Jason Aldean, along with opening acts Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett, will perform at Mizzou Arena, April 26, 2013, at 7:30 p.m.

Ticket sales to the general public kicked off on March 1. Tickets can be purchased at the Mizzou Arena ticket office, located on the north side of the arena.

“There are two different prices for this show, $54.75 and $28.75,” said Bart Townsend, assistant director of ticket operations. “Fees are included, though there are additional ticket fees when purchased through Ticket Master.”

Townsend stresses there will be a four-ticket limit per customer, so plan accordingly.

According to some Mizzou students who have experienced a Jason Aldean concert previously, their money was well spent the first time around and they expect the same outcome this year.

“I attended the Jason Aldean concert my freshman year in 2011 at Mizzou Arena when he performed with Eric Church and the Jane Dear girls,” said junior, Tyler Deitz. “The energy Jason performed with throughout the entire concert was amazing. He had Mizzou Arena loud and everyone was on their feet the entire concert.”

MU junior, Hope Chambers, recalls attending the Union County Fair in 2006 where Aldean was one of the many to perform. Her last encounter was so memorable that she encourages her fellow students to attend this year’s concert.

“Definitely go,” Chambers said. “He’s a great entertainer. Now that he has more songs out, I think it will be one of the best concerts Mizzou’s ever had!

“I have a question,” used to be my most frequently used statement when I was younger, according to my entire family. It wasn’t until my sixth-grade teacher noticed my talent for asking questions and writing that I knew I had a possible career on my hands. I may seem quiet at first, but when you get to know me, it’s hard to believe I ever was. I’ve got an opinion or a question for just about everything and an incredibly nerdy fascination to learn about almost anything, especially issues pertaining to the environment, weather or music. Even though this is my junior year at Mizzou, this is my first official semester in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources. I’m excited to be joining the graduating class of 2014 with a B.S. in Science and Agricultural Journalism with an emphasis in Marketing.
