Financing for the Future

Nearly twenty-five CAFNR students took the opportunity to learn about Financing Your Future in a seminar Thursday, May 3. Dennis Henks of Henks Financial Group/Lincoln Financial Advisors discussed topics that graduates often have questions about as young professionals.
Topics of interest included savings and investment plans, budget allocations and debt accumulation. Students had the opportunity to ask questions specific to their situation and get advice about buying a home or automobile and choosing the right investment.
"The most helpful thing I learned was the difference between good and bad debt,” senior animal science major, Marin Summers said. “It didn't make me feel so bad about the debt I've accumulated for my education."
