2006 Celebration of Excellence honors CAFNR's finest

On Thursday, April 13, the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources recognized outstanding individuals involved with and within the College at the 2006 Celebration of Excellence.
Students from undergraduate classes were chosen to represent their grade based on scholarship and extra-curricular achievement.
Zach Kinne, agricultural economics, was chosen as the Freshman Outstanding Student.
The Outstanding Sophomore was Christine Tew, agricultural journalism and parks, recreation and tourism major.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by my peers as an outstanding student,” Christine said. “It is very flattering to learn that others have such high opinions of my accomplishments.”
Nichole Busdieker was chosen as the Outstanding Junior. She is an agricultural journalism and agricultural economics major.
“I have always been the farm girl that wanted more,” Busdieker said. “By being active and striving to keep my academics a priority I hopefully can continue to keep doors open and open new ones for myself.”
Faculty, alumni and contributors to the agricultural community were recognized in their areas of expertise and achievement.
