On March 6-11 Alpha Chi Omega, Kappa Delta, Pi Delta, Alpha Phi and Sigma Alpha sororities participated in Alpha Gamma Rho’s annual Ace in the Hole philanthropy to raise money for The Shelter, a safe-haven for women and children who have been victims of domestic violence.
Each sorority nominated a queen candidate to participate in an interview and represent their chapter throughout the week. Each sorority participated in six events including: designing a banner, casino night, queen interview, t-shirt purchases, money jar collection, and serenade that included a skit, song and dance. Each sorority also participated in a community service project for The Shelter.
The week’s events raised around $2,500 for The Shelter. The sorority earning the most points by winning the most events was the Kappa Delta sorority. In second place was Sigma Alpha, followed by Alpha Pi.
