What is podcasting?
According to Wikipedia, podcasting is “the method of distributing multimedia files, such as audio programs or music videos, over the Internet using either the RSS or Atom syndication formats, for playback on mobile devices and personal computers.”

What is an RSS feed?
A feed, also known as an RSS feed, XML feed, or syndicated content, is frequently updated content published by a Web site. It can be used for a variety of content, including news, blogs, photos, or audio and video files.

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, and is used to describe the technology used in creating feeds.

How will I benefit from an RSS feed?
When you subscribe to a feed, your Web browser or other feed-reading software will automatically check the Web and download new content so you can see what is new since you last visited.

To identify a Web page with a feed, look for the word “Subscribe” accompanied by one of these symbols:

How do I get an RSS feed?
You must download a feed reader or feed aggregator in order to subscribe to RSS feeds. Today’s latest Web browsers now have feed readers built in. Here are links to Web browsers that have integrated support for RSS feeds:
