Student Council election time
Holly Newcomer, posted Oct. 25, 2006
CAFNR Student Council election time is here and is a chance
for students in CAFNR to get involved. Students can fill out
an application, which was emailed to all CAFNR students earlier
this month.
“CAFNR Student Council serves as the voice for the all
CAFNR students,” Megan Fox, current student council
president, said. “As a member in CAFNR Student Council,
one will have the opportunity to make an impact within the
college that will provide more opportunities for students,
faculty and staff to interact, along with voicing the opinions
of the students as leaders within the college.”
There are three ways to serve: be a class representative,
major representative or a club representative. CAFNR Student
Council is involved in many activities such as homecoming,
CAFNR week, Fall Roundup and performs many service projects.
“CAFNR Student Council is an organization that strives
for a better college experience for students in the areas
of agriculture, food and natural resources. They conduct activities
that will allow students to grow as a person and as a leader,”
Ashley Noblitt, CAFNR Student Council development team leader,
said.
Elections are Nov. 7-9. Applications must be emailed to Ashley
Noblitt at annq38@mizzou.edu or Phillip Boydston at pwbdh4@mizzou.edu
before Oct. 25 at 5 p.m.
