Finals
week: here it comes

After
a semester of worksheets, papers, quizzes and tests, MU students
are almost home free. It is now time to finish out the semester
with final exams. Students have their own individual ways
of dealing with the stress of finals week.
Brittany Reis, an MU freshman majoring in Early Childhood
Education, has four finals coming up. When asked if she thought
they would be difficult, she quickly replied, “Yeah!”
She said she is not nervous or stressed about her finals yet,
but she is sure that she will be. Reis said she plans on looking
over her notes and going to reviews to get ready for her exams.
When asked if she had any tips for getting through finals
week, her response was, “Oh no, I probably need tips
given to me.”
Nick Mustoe, an MU freshman majoring in International Studies,
has two finals coming his way. “The two finals I have,
I’m pretty decent at,” Mustoe said. He is not
very worried, but he said he is definitely going to study.
He said his strategy is, “Just dedicating off campus
time, and spending time at the library.” A tip he had
for finals, “Don’t procrastinate. That’s
the key.”
Jacqwi Campbell, an MU senior majoring in Journalism, said
she has three finals in the upcoming week. “When I was
a freshman and sophomore, I got very paranoid about them.
But when I became a junior, I just learned to go with the
flow. You just figure it out for yourself. Since I have three,
I plan to give one day for each,” Campbell said. “Make
sure you have plenty of snack food. Don’t plan dinner
dates with friends because they’ll take to much time.
Don’t study for finals with friends you have classes
with because you’ll get distracted,” said Campbell.
