Stop Day Dance

In celebration of stop day, Dec. 8, the Independent Aggies
(GDI) are hosting a dance at Cody’s Saloon. The event
will start at 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7 and continue until
1 a.m. on Friday.
Ryan Power, GDI president, said, “Our two main objectives
for having the stop day dance are to have a social event for
our members and the rest of the college. The money we raise
will go towards scholarships, purchasing an animal at the
state fair and to sponsor other social events. The stop day
dance is basically the last party before the end of the semester
and start of finals.”
Attendees must be 18 to enter and 21 to drink. There is a
$5 cover charge and an additional $5 charge for a bottomless
cup. For the ladies, GDI will be offering a bikini bull riding
contest. The women who prove themselves to be the most capable
riders will be awarded monetary prizes.
“I’ve been to the GDI stop day party in past years
and it’s always a good time. GDI parties continuously
have a solid turn out and everybody seems to have a good time
when they first get there until we are forced to leave at
one,” said Alex Clark, am MU senior.
