Great turn out equals great Grill-Off

The grills were just as hot as the competition on Sunday September 25th, as the Mizzou Collegiate Cattlewomen sponsored the Great Grill-Off!

Teams that competed in the Grill-Off included the Mizzou Collegiate Cattlewomen, GDI, Block and Bridle, Alpha Gamma Rho and Alpha Gamma Sigma/Collegiate Farm Bureau.

As the judges evaluated each team in the areas of meat presentation and meat flavor, the teams waited anxiously for the results.

Finally, the Cattlewomen won first in presentation, and Alpha Gamma Rho claimed first prize in the meat flavor category. Block and Bridle placed second in meat flavor, followed by Alpha Gamma Sigma/Collegiate Farm Bureau in third.

Overall, the Mizzou Collegiate Cattlewomen were very happy with this year’s turnout.

“With more contestants participating this year, it helped make the grill-off a great success. Hopefully, we can continue this year after year,” Michelle Dowell, member of the Mizzou Collegiate Cattlewomen said.
