Ryan Maris, Corner Post Staff

February 17, 2004 - After a couple of tough losses, the Mizzou Women's basketball team is still looking at an NCAA Tournament bid.

They had another tough opponent Wednesday night facing Baylor. The Bears are ranked 18th in the Associated Press poll and 20th in the coach's poll. The Bears are seventeen and five with a five and four record in conference. The Lady Tigers haven't beaten the Bears here since 2000 but looked to pull out an upset. The Lady Bears won with a final score of 83-59.

The team is currently twelve and eight with a conference record of three and six. They have had many tough opponents this season, and the ninth hardest schedule in the nation.

Evan Unrau leads the team in scoring. Mizzou's All-American Candidate Unrau also leads the Big 12 in rebounds and is currently third in scoring.

Cindy Stein, who in her sixth year at MU has a record of 96 wins and 74 losses, coaches the Lady Tigers. As a team the ladies are leading the nation in blocks with 133, which is an MU record.

Senior guard Tracy Lozier also broke the school record for three pointers made and attempted; having currently made 134 three point baskets in her career.
