Spring Break Survival Tips
Jamie Reading, Corner Post Staff
1. Sunscreen. You can't have too much
of it, especially if you are in or near the water. If you are going
to Mexico or the Caribbean Islands, you are much closer to the sun.
It is recommended at least an SPF of 15.
2. Water. Drink plenty of it. You are going to get dehydrated very easily
while you are basking in the sun.
3. Watch out for traffic. The streets around the bars and hotels are
always busy.
4. If you get a jellyfish sting, don't rub it. That will only make things
much worse. Your best bet is to get to a walk in clinic right away or
put some meat tenderizer on it.
5. Travel in groups. Don't let your friends wander off with complete
strangers that they met at the club that night.
6. Balcony diving. Do not hang from balconies while you are drunk or
sober, chances are, you will fall. Just don't even stand close to balconies
or windows for that matter.
7. Avoid hangovers. The key factor here is to stay hydrated. Drink two
glasses of water in the morning and before you go to bed.
