Western Farm Show
Kellen Fischer, Corner Post Staff
KANSAS CITY, Mo., Feb. 26, 2004 - Booths, business, bucks and bull -
the four "b's" of the annual Western Farm Show in Kansas City, held
at the Kemper Arena/American Royal Complex. The Show is a gathering
of businesses with an interest in any aspect of the business of agriculture.
A few of the many facets of the agriculture industry that were represented
included equipment manufacturers, technology companies, animal heath
firms, crop consulting services and software manufacturers.
"Every year our show keeps getting bigger," Curtis Kleoppel, Western
Farm Show Manager, said. "Companies recognize this as one of the premier
opportunities that they have at their disposal to expand their business."
"Representation of the precision agriculture industry has increased
the most since I started attending the farm show five years ago," said
Matt Stundebeck, a farmer and MU junior from Salisbury, Mo. "Everyone
has an auto-steer system for sale these days."
The Western Farm Show can be an informative tool and a valuable learning
experience, and you can make plans to attend next year. The farm show
is always the third weekend in February.
