Flowers on Valentine's Day a Do or Don't
Meghan Stewart, Corner Post Staff
February 9, 2004 - Flowers on Valentine's Day have been a must for many
years now, but have times changed and do girls expect more on Valentine's
Day?
There are still some girls who love to get flowers on Valentine's Day
and some just expect them.
"Giving your girlfriend flowers on Valentine's Day is the easy way out,
and I expect my boyfriend to put more thought and time in his gift this
year," journalism major Lauren Crotty said.
Valentine's Day is the busiest day for flower shops, but that may change
in a few years.
"Flowers are great and all but I would rather him give me something that
was not going to die in a week," communications major Brianna Martin said.
Then there are those girls who just expect it all.
"I want flowers, dinner, and a thoughtful present on Valentine's Day,"
journalism major Sonya Grogg said.
