For the students, by the students
Collegiate Cattlewomen

With 40 members strong, Collegiate Cattlewomen is an organization
at the University of Missouri-Columbia that represents a new generation
of beef promotion.
"Our goals are educating others about beef and increasing our membership," said
Lesley Snodgrass, Collegiate Cattlewomen's president.
Snodgrass commented that the women have had a lot of fun while promoting the
beef industry. Besides promoting beef, meetings are held the first and third
Tuesday of every month in ASRC S119, as well as holding various activities
throughout the year.
"We have had hayrides, BBQs and beef education opportunities we have participated
in. In December we always volunteer at the Annual Cattlemen's
Convention in Tan-Tar-A," said Snodgrass.
The fun and activities are not over yet for the cattlewomen. In
April, a trip is planned to Oklahoma State University and the semesterly trash
pick-up.
So far, Snodgrass feels that the Collegiate Cattlewomen has had a successful
year. They have increased their membership and participated in fun, eventful
activities last fall.
"It is never too late to join," said Snodgrass.
