Ag Week Skit Night Huge Success
By Libby Felts, Corner Post Staff
Six judges, two emcees, 282 crowd
members, 11 skits and 10 lip syncs, entertained the crowd at the
2004 CAFNR Ag Week Skit Night. The event was held on Sept. 27,
at 7:30 p.m. at the Blue Note in Columbia, Mo.
GDI sophomore, Kayla Lindsey
said, “It
was a great experience. There was never anything like this at CMSU.
Students are so much
more involved here.”
The entertainment ranged from
skits involving tails from the hit movie Anchor Man by the CAFNR Ambassadors
to a rendition of RESPECT
by Alpha Gamma Rho’s
king candidate Jared VerDught.
Freshman GDI member, Jenny Prange
said, “I
didn’t participate in a skit this year, but I have a feeling I will
next year.”
This year’s winner of skit
night was the Mizzou Collegiate Cattlewomen with their humorous tale
of a woman who had just been dumped on a talk show with
three lovely new gentlemen to choose from. The gentlemen selected were
from GDI, Farmhouse, and Alpha Gamma Rho. The night was a success with
many people looking
forward to the event next year.
GDI freshman, Laura Beach, said, “Since
it was my first skit night ever, it was enjoyable, and I will attend
next year.”
