Scholarships result from Ag Week contribution

Each year, the Ag Week Steering Committee puts a tremendous amount of effort into organizing Ag Week events. This committee of 20 CAFNR students works the entire year for a successful Ag Week.

For their annual charitable contribution, the committee decided to give two $500 scholarships to students within CAFNR that display exemplary leadership skills. The scholarships will be turned over to the University’s scholarship committee to manage and will be available in February.

“I was really proud of how it turned out,” said Sarah Henderson, committee member, after the completion of Ag Week festivities.

Out of all of the events Marie Findley, one of the student tri-directors, said that Skit Night had the best turnout.

The Washers Tournament also had nice turn out as there were 37 teams competing.

If you are interested in being on next year’s Steering Committee interviews will be held in February.
