CAFNR students offered interviews through Career Services Office
Katie Allen, Corner Post Staff

College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources remains in full swing this fall as Ag Week comes to a close and company interviews for full-time and internship positions begin. The Career Services Office works as a facilitator to bring employers and students together on campus.

Sign-up sheets for interviews and descriptions of available positions are posted three weeks before the interview date in the Career Services Office (2-64 Agriculture Building). The office allows students two weeks to sign-up for a particular interview. In order to interview, a student must meet the job qualifications listed in the company’s descriptions. Then the students sign up on the sign-up sheet and submit a resume for each interview they signed up for. The resumes are then sent to the recruiters one week before the scheduled interview.

“It doesn’t get any easier for a student than interviewing on campus,” CAFNR project director Dana Brown said. “All they (students) have to do is meet the company’s criteria, bring a resume by the Career Services Office, sign-up for an interview and then show on the appropriate day and time.”

Students should know that they may not cancel an interview after it has been scheduled with the company.
Students interested in campus interviewing opportunities should contact the Career Services Office for more information about the interviews and the companies coming to campus.
