Missouri Cattlewomen Hosts Great Grill-Off

The sun was shinning, there was a hint of fall in the air and all you could smell was the scent of a grill firing up. No, it was not a home MU football game; it was the Great Grill-off sponsored by the Mizzou Collegiate Catllewomen. The event was sponsored during CAFNR's Ag Week events and was held at 11 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004, in the ASRC parking lot.

The number of entries was lower than past years, but the beef still tasted great. The winning team consisting of Matt Beach, Chris Beach, Andrew Crouse, James Dunn, Ashton James, and James McNary who prepared an arm roast with cheesy potatoes with a watermelon for dessert. The team was representing the GDI organization. The three judges for the Great Grill-off were Brent Bryant, Anita Ryan, and Steve Barthamew.
