Spicing Up the Week With the Traditional F.A.S.S. FISH FRY
Christine Tew, Corner Post Staff

The Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences Society hosted a Fish Fry Wednesday of Ag Week in the Anheuser Busch Natural Resources building courtyard.

We’re expecting to “have one-hundred-and-fifty (people), maybe two-hundred,” President Dave Combs said.

All CAFNR students were invited to enjoy fried catfish, coleslaw, potato salad, chips, sodas and homemade brownies from 11am to 1pm. The five-dollar donation collected at the door will help fund F.A.S.S. activities during the year.

“We’re cooking over fifty pounds of fish,” Combs said. The club has grown recently. “We only had six members,” he said of the club in past years.

FASS members were responsible for the entire event, and many volunteered to cook and serve.

Freshman Chris Eftink said that the club bought the catfish instead of going fishing like they did at the last meeting because “it would have taken too long to catch this much,” while standing over one of three fryers.
