Week: Monday & Tuesday
Preview Monday Skit Night takes place at The Blue Note. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased ahead of time for $5 or at the door for $6. The Ag Systems Management club is sponsoring the Little Expo. Farm equipment will be outside of Memorial Union from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event is for all the students, faculty, and small children. The children are able to sit in the cab of the equipment so they can “drive.” Safety warnings and prices are also posted for all the equipment. Matt Beach, senior ASM major, said, “The event helps students not involved in agriculture see how large the equipment is getting and how much it costs. We display facts about the machinery on each piece. The main goal is to educate people about tractor safety and machinery used in production.” Tuesday A volleyball tournament will be at Trowbridge Livestock Arena. The tournament is sponsored by CAFNR Student Council. Registration begins at 6:00 p.m. and games are scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. Each team must have 2 females playing on the court at all times. Depending on the number of teams registered, the tournament will be set up either single or double elimination. The top three teams will win cash prizes. “Holding the volleyball tournament in Trowbridge will be a great
atmosphere for CAFNR students involved. Holding the tournament in the
Student Recreation Center in the past took away from the agriculture-focus
we will have in Trowbridge. It will be a fun time to play in the dirt,” Jared
VerDught, president of CAFNR Student Council, said.
