September 20, 2003- Alumni, current MU students, and prospective students found themselves waking up early to arrive at the Ag building at 8 a.m. for registration. They received a continental breakfast, and then were able to explore majors, clubs and organizations, and take campus tours. After the student recruitment presentation, they were given a complimentary lunch, and then went to the kickoff of the Mizzou vs. Middle Tenessee football game.

"I am an undecided major so I am here to broaden my knowledge of all my different choices," prospective student, Tera Loyd, Defiance, said.

There were more than 200 people touring campus and learning what the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources has to offer. This year was the first year there has been a combination event that included the campaigne kickoff, Meet Mizzou Day, and Family Weekend.

"It's a really wonderful opportunity to see different types of people mingle, and watch the alumni become enthusiatic because of the new students. It is a win - win situation all the way around and a great opportunity to showcase MU," said Kristen Smarr, CAFNR director of external relations and a coordinator of the event, said.
