Where
did all the Trees Come From?
Linda Veatch, CAFNR Corner Post staff
December 4, 2003 - The Forestry club is holding their annual Christmas tree sales
this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday the 5th, 6th, and 7th. They will be selling
these on the east side of Faurot Field from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day.
Christmas tree sales serves as the main fundraiser for their year and goes to
the club's scholarship fund and other activities. The trees come both from a
plantation the clubs manage at the Sinclair farm and from a club alumnus's farm.
The Forestry club provides many of the trees that are put up around campus, including
Jesse Hall and School of Natural Resources. Also, the sales provide the opportunity
for students to learn from managing and working on the tree farm at Sinclair
and the club's new plantation at the Turkey Farm.
For more information contact Jason Deschu, President of the Forestry club.
