Mourns The Loss of a Fellow Student

An 18-year old CAFNR freshman was killed and three other persons were injured
in a one vehicle accident that occurred Nov. 27 in Randolph County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Justin "Juice" McBee,
18, of Clark, was killed early Thursday morning when a vehicle he was riding
in was involved in an auto accident on Highway B, about 8 miles south of Moberly
near his hometown.
The report said that John Hargis, 21, of Clark, was driving a 2004 Ford pickup
and going west around 1 a.m. on Thursday when the vehicle went off the right
side of the road, overturned several times and struck a tree.
McBee was born June 4, 1985, in Columbia, to Jerry Lee and Joy Ellen (Maynes)
McBee. Services were held Sunday at Cater Funeral Home in Moberly, MO.
He was a member of the Moberly FFA Chapter and active in Boone County 4-H; member
of Harrisburg Christian Church; a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. He
was currently an Agricultural Business major.
Friends and faculty remember McBee as an outstanding member of CAFNR's
student
body. Bret Fahrmeier, friend and fellow fraternity brother said, "Juice
always made the best out of every situation."
CAFNR President and fraternity brother, Matt Hill, said the fraternity will host
the 2004 Alpha Gamma Rho Classic Cattle Show in McBee's memory. The show will
be February 7-8. Hill also said that a memorial fund is also being More details
of the fund will be posted in the future.
MSA President, Brett Ordnung will lower the Mizzou flag at 9:00am Tuesday
morning
in memory of McBee. "He will not be forgotten," said Ordnung.
McBee was the 65th person to die in an auto accident on Missouri roadways this
month. There have been 1,073 persons killed this year reported the MSHP. Last
year at this time there were 87 fatalities and 1,083 persons who were killed
as a result of an auto accident.
