Fall
on Campus Rocks
Natalie Scherer, Corner Post Reporter
In the next few weeks on campus, some big name artists will be making an appearance
at Mizzou. With acts like Jason Mraz, John Mayer and Blues Traveler, there will
be a lot of entertainment to take in.
On October 30, Jason Mraz will be presented by MSA at 8:00 p.m. at Jesse Auditorium.
Mraz has had a huge success with his debut single from his debut album "Waiting
for My Rocket to Come." He has been performing since he was 18 and since then
gained a lot of respect in the business. Before becoming famous, Mraz played
at Java Joe's in Ocean Beach, Calif. He now plays large venues.
On October 16, MSA presents Blues Traveler at 8:00 p.m. at Jesse Auditorium.
Blues Traveler albums "Truth Be Told" and "Travelogue: Blues Traveler Classics" were
both hits with fans. Blues Traveler has not had an album released in a few years,
but are still quite accepted with fans.
John Mayer will be performing on November 11 at the Hearnes Center. A time has
yet to be set. Mayer has such hits as "No Such Thing," "Your Body is a Wonderland" and
his current single, "Bigger than my Body." Mayer kicked off his tour and will
be performing in many other countries this fall. Mayer released his third album
earlier this month. Earlier this month, Mayer's third album was released. "Heavier
Things" debuted at number one.
With these major names coming to the University Campus, many nights will be filled
with excitement. Check out stufftodo.missouri.edu for a complete schedule of
on-campus entertainment and events.
