September 25, 2003- What do you get when you put a bunch of Aggies
competing against each other with events like cider chugging
and hay bale tossing? A ton
of laughs that’s for sure.
The first event was the three legged race which was won by GDI team 1.
The next event was a hay bale tossing competition that was won by the
Rodeo Club. Alpha
Gamma Rho took first in the human wheelbarrow race along with the cider chug.
The Rodeo Club also won the Stick horse barrel race. “This was hilarious”, said
Kendra Butcher, a sophomore Ag business major, “It is always a fun event to come
to every year”!
The action took place Thursday night around 7:00 p.m. at Trowbridge Livestock
arena. Ten teams competed in the five events. The ten teams who competed were
Rodeo Club, 2 teams from GDI, Alpha Gamma Rho, Mizzou FFA, Collegiate Cattlewoman,
Sigma Alpha, Ag Week team, Collegiate Horseman Association, and Block and Bridle.
The final results for the night ended with the Rodeo Club in first place, Alpha
Gamma Rho in second place, GDI Team 1 in third, Block and Bridle in fourth and
Collegiate Horseman Association in fifth.
