Loyd and Hill Selected as Barnwarming Royalty

Staff September 26, 2003 - This was no ordinary Friday night. Ag students all across campus had been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Barnwarming. For weeks students had been nominating and selecting their Barnwarming King and Queen representatives.

The nomees were: Ag Sig - Kevin Reynolds, Jana Thies; GDI - Matt Stundbeck, Sarah Henderson; B&B - Dallas Wilson, Jenny Milligan; CHA - Marshall Gerstenschlager, Rachel Westfall; CCW - Kevin McAlister, Andrea Loyd; AG Learning - Pete Laufersweiler, Alexis Cook; Sigma Alpha - Cord Jenkins, Tiffany Crews; AGR - Matt Hill, Brooke Sidwell; Ag Econ - Chris Rolf, Mandi Bulen; Farmhouse - Ben Campbell, Jennifer Bloss; ACT - Scott Hopke, Sara Brown; and Mizzou FFA - Nathan Atkinson, Chesea Higginbotham.

"It's an exciting experience to be nominated for Ag week Queen. It's a lot of fun to see everyone participating in the events and barnwarming was a blast," said Sara Brown, ACT candidate.

However, in the end it all came down to two winners--king Matt Hill and queen Andrea Loyd.
