AFA on the Way

October 27, 2003- The annual Agriculture Future of America conference is on the way. AFA is an organization that consists of three key programs: internship opportunities, leadership development, and scholarship.

Those who attend will have the chance to interact with many companies and their representatives. The conference consists of three track programs that will build off of each other. The three track programs differ every year. Last year the programs were assessment, communication, and managing change.

Students will also hear from several speakers, attend a opportunity fair, banquet, dance, and get to meet other students of similar interests. Around 25 students received scholarships from AFA last year and this year 30 scholarships were offered. The conference will take off in Kansas City, November 6th at the Marriott hotel and will end on November 9th.

AFA is a nonprofit organization and depends on contributions from organizations and individuals for its resources.
