October 13, 2003- The place to be on October 4th was the Missouri Chestnut Roast. There was a ton of things that took that afternoon. Several producers came and gave tasty samples of their products. On sale was a variety assortment of products, such as chestnuts, cracked black walnuts, honey, elk and buffalo meat.

Homecoming Tradition Returns to Campus

Oct. 21, 2003-Of all the traditions at Mizzou, perhaps the sweetest is Homecoming. Not only is it a fun-filled weekend, but it is a tradition that originated right here in Columbia. It began in 1911 when the University of Missouri's Director of Athletics, Chester L. Brewer, urged Mizzou alumni to "Come Home" for the game.

Mizzou Cattlewomen Invade the American Royal

October 23-24, 2003- Three members from the Mizzou Collegiate Cattlewomen's Association visited the 2003 American Royal Livestock Show held in Kansas City, Missouri. The American Royal is held from October 3 to November 22. At the Royal, America's best livestock are showcased. There are also rodeos, barbeque contests, and concerts during the event.

Ag Alumni Host Homecoming Tailgate

Oct. 26, 2003-Cool temperatures and a slight drizzle had no effect on the warmth and cheer inside the Hearnes Center Fieldhouse on Saturday morning before the MU Homecoming game against Texas Tech. The University of Missouri Ag Alumni Association joined in the festivities to welcome home agriculture alumni. Seniors were also invited to the event.

November 1st 2003- The Blue Note was filled with a sparse crowd as the Missouri Sex Offenders took the stage at eight p.m. Some concert-goers were annoyed with the admittedly amateur approach that the Sex-Offenders took to the stage with them, "from house-parties to the Blue Note," as one band member said. Jayhawks get revenge, and down Tigers

September 29, 2003 - Kansas football players had been waiting for this game for a year. Last year, following a 36-12 homecoming victory over arch-rival Kansas, the Missouri football team led a group of fans in tearing down the goal posts at Faurot Field.

Red Tide Turned Back

Oct. 12, 2003-After 25 years and 24 lost games, the tide finally turned in favor of the Mizzou Tigers and coach Gary Pinkel. They won the contest on Saturday evening against the Nebraska Cornhuskers 41 to 24, leaving the Tiger fans energized and excited.

October 26, 2003 - Missouri Tiger fans could find themselves cheering for a second team this holiday season. Tiger fans always have the pleasure of watching the Missouri basketball team perform in December and January.
