ADPi raises $40K for Ronald McDonald House thanks to ‘Wafflepalooza’

Alpha Delta Pi’s philanthropy event, Wafflepalooza, was held on Sept. 30, 2016, on the University of Missouri campus. ADPi raised around $40,000. Greektown was filled with lines of people waiting to get into the house for their candy-like waffles. Having every topping a heart can desire including: Nutella, ice cream, sprinkles, whipped cream, and hot fudge, everyone was anxious to get a bite.

According to Abby Anderson, freshman ADPi member, and a server at this event, Wafflepalooza raises money for the Ronald McDonald House in Columbia, Missouri. The money is directed towards building new rooms for families to stay in when their children are receiving treatments at University Hospital. Derrick Linn, a student at Mizzou, attended Wafflepalooza and was surprised with his delicious waffles and was excited about donating to RMHC.
